Officer Gary Harl was shot and killed after stopping a man driving a stolen motorcycle. Officer Harl requested a backup. When his backup officer arrived, Officer Harl's body was found slumped in the front seat of his patrol car.
The suspect committed suicide the following morning when he was surrounded by officers.
Officer Harl had served with the agency for two years. He was survived by his wife.
