Officer Hall succumbed to injuries received in a motorcycle accident 11 days earlier. He was attempting to pass a truck when the truck swerved into his lane and struck him.
Officer Hall was survived by his wife.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 60th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
