I did not know Vincent personally ~ he died the year we moved here to Paramus from New Milford when our boys were 1 & 2. My maiden name was Brock and my uncle was a Vincent who was also a cop ~ a mounty in NY ~ and his son, my cousin Joseph Aversa was a NY cop ~ he got into the DEA and was on a drug bust in NYC and got killed by friendly fire during a bust over 20 years ago! Made an impression on me when my 3 boys were small, my husband used to play softball on a team in Paramus and Kevin Smith (a local cop) told our sons who were like 4 & 5 at the time about him, when he caught them calling 911 on a payphone at the Sports Complex ~ he told them how Vincent Brock got killed because of a crank call to 911 that ended up killing him!!! I also was a class Mom when my oldest son was in kindergarten and his relative ~ another Brock ~ donated her time to help as the second class mom even though none of her kids were in the class! Also, the Brock family donated flowers (I believe they owned a nursery in town) at the intersection of Midland and Farview Aves ~ standout family ~ I am so sorry for their loss!!!
