Carl Greene

Investigator Carl Greene was shot and killed while serving a search warrant for illegal liquor still on a farm on East Montgomery Road (modern-day I-45) approximately 10-1/2 miles east of Houston at about 8:30 am.

He and his partner were able to return fire, striking the suspect three times and killing him.

Investigator Greene had served with the Harris County District Attorney's Office as a liquor investigator for approximately one year and had previously served with the Houston Police Department for three years. He was survived by his wife, mother, four brothers, and two sisters.
