Thomas Arthur Gordon

Police Officer Thomas Gordon was shot and killed in an apparent accident.

Officer Gordon was examining firearms in a store on South Street, near 2nd Street, when the wife of the gunsmith who owned the store picked up his revolver from the counter and it discharged.

Officer Gordon had served with the Philadelphia Police Department for two years and was survived by his wife and son.
