Officer Gordon, a member of the old motor bandit patrol, collapsed and died while chasing a suspect on Oxford Street near Clarion. Officer Gordon was a nine-year veteran of the force. He was survived by his wife and three sons.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
