I was born in 1967, the year your father was taken from you.

My brother, DC James Morrison, Metropolitan Police, London was murdered on 13 December 1991 whilst off duty chasing a thief. He was posthumously awarded the Queens Gallantry Medal. His killer has never been trace and like your father's investigation remains ongoing.

I served 30 years as a police officer in the Scottish Highlands, 27 of those after my brother was taken.

The reason for my reflection now is that I noticed your fathers name on a roll of honour in Dirty Harry, a film I've watched many times, portrayed by my brothers favourite actor, but have only found out about your father.

I pray that, after all the years since your loss, justice for your father and closure can be achieved for you and your family as I pray that this can happen for our family.

It doesn't matter where we live, bravery and honour are the same. God bless your father and his service.
