Trooper Byron Erickson died from injuries sustained in an accident on July 2, 1993. The accident occurred during the pursuit of a felon. The felon was later apprehended and sentenced on multi-jurisdictional warrants.
Trooper Erickson had served with the agency for four and a half years. He was survived by his wife and son.
