Officer Forbes and Officer James St. DeLore were killed when their police helicopter collided in mid-air with a Cessna 150. The officers were responding to a shooting in the south end of the city, when their helicopter collided with the Cessna that was landing at Boeing Field.
Officer Forbes had been a member of the Seattle Police Department for 15 years and is survived by his wife, daughter, and two sons.
