Officer Fisher was struck and killed by an out-of-control trolley car at Fourth and Northampton Streets. He noticed the trolley car speeding towards a trolley platform which was loading passengers. As he ran to notify the passengers to get out of the way he was struck by a the trolley car and an automobile which the trolley car had struck.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 82nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
