Has it really been 27 years? Every now and then I think about that funeral and feel proud to have participated yet so very sad it had to happen.

You are still a hero and that stern looking photo accompanying this page makes me wonder if in truth you were THAT much of a hard guy or maybe essentially tough on the outside but a marshmallow in the inside. No matter what, Brown would not have been so respectful that day had you not been a good guy and a true protector of those striving to learn and advance in life.

Too many "Campus Cops" have joined you and some preceded you. It's nice to know, that if any of us have to go, there's such a great group to welcome us home.
