In memory of "Officer Jerry Dormaier"

I knew a man,
So long ago,
He loved his job,
He was a Highway Patrol!

He stood for Justice,
And that's what you got,
If you did wrong,
You always were caught!

The badge on his chest,
And strips down his side,
He had on his uniform,
And he wore them with pride!

Then one cold night,
While doing their job,
They came upon a truck,
That had crashed in the fog!

As Officer Bean
Began setting the flares,
Down came the truck,
In which killed my friend Jer!

Their job is to protect us,
Yet at no certain time,
While saving our lives,
They put theirs the line!

So remember this well,
As it could happen one day,
That it may be your own life,
That they'll have to save!!

You will be remembered always for you selfless acts of kindness!
