This brave man was my great-grandfather. He was killed by a man named David Perry who took away a father from an infant girl and boy and took away a husband from a woman struggling during the Depression. My grandfather, his son William Doehler ii was his son and worked hard his entire childhood to help his family when his father couldn't be there and he had a beautiful wife and three children. Even after an extremely unfortunate tragedy, things worked out and people moved on. Thank you Great-Grandad.
