Officer DeLoach was shot and killed while working a uniformed security assignment at a local bowling alley. He was questioning a man wanted on armed robbery charges when the man shot him six times. The suspect's identification was found at the scene of the murder. Officer DeLoach was transported to Heights Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

Officer DeLoach had been with the agency for five years and was survived by his wife, two children, parents, and sister.

I just met a family member of this fallen brother. She was so sincere in thanking me for my service. She also told me the story of how this officer was murdered. She seems to come from a wonderful family. May God be with the DeLoach family and remember, Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God...
