I worked with Donnie for a few years on the Albany Police Department before going on to three other departments afterwards. Donnie has always stood out to me among all of the officers I have known, as one of my favorites. He was a good cop, a good man, a good father, a good friend, and his wife was an awesome woman. He wasn't perfect but none of us are. Although Donnie's life was short, he lived a good one thanks to the important people in his life and he knew it. I still think about him often and the little things that mean so much now.
