As a kid growing up in Stevensville, I knew Officer "Donny" Deford. I had run from him during my dumb days, and been caught by him a few times. I had always been treated professionally by him, and was always guilty of whatever childish pranks he caught me at. I didn't learn to appreciate him until many years later, when I chose to serve as an Officer in Tennessee. I have now served for over 20 years in my Department, and appreciate his leadership and professionalism now, more than ever. Rest in Peace, my friend.
