Investigator Norval DeArmond succumbed to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Barnston, Nebraska, 24 days earlier.

He and another agent were pursuing a suspected whiskey smuggler towards Kansas when their vehicle crashed after the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
