Charles C. Deal

Patrolman Deal was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while directing traffic at the scene of an accident on the Lorain-Elyria Highway. He succumbed to his injuries while en route to a local hospital. Three days after the accident a man turned himself in to face manslaughter charges but a grand jury failed to indict him.
