Patrolman Crowe succumbed to injuries sustained in an automobile accident during a vehicle pursuit involving a drunk driver one week earlier. His 1949 Ford patrol car went out of control and struck a tree.

Patrolman Crowe had served with the agency for 2 years. He was survived by his wife, two daughters, and several grandchildren.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
