Officer Frank Croff was struck and killed by a drunk driver while attempting to stop the vehicle. During the stop the vehicle attempted to flee the scene, pinning Officer Croff underneath it.
Officer Croff was a member of the Florida National Guard and had served with the Miami Police Department for eight months. He was survived by his wife, three young children, and mother.
