Officer Raymond Cooper was killed in an automobile accident during a pursuit of a female suspect.

The pursuit started near Aransas Pass, Texas, and headed to Gregory, Texas. The accident occurred at the intersection of 4th Street and US 181. After an investigation, it was learned that the female suspect had a history of leading officers on pursuits.

Officer Cooper had served with the Ingleside Police Department for 4 years. He is survived by his child, parents, sister, and three brothers.
