Anthony James Cilurso

Officer Cilurso succumbed to injuries sustained 7 years earlier when he police motorcycle was struck by a drunk driver. He was responding with emergency equipment activated to a burglary in progress call when the driver turned in front of him and collided with this motorcycle.

He remained in a coma for several weeks. Once he came out of the coma he was physically and mentally impaired as a result of the severe trauma and head injuries he sustained. He died in his home on March 5, 1990.

Officer Cilurso had served with the Warner Robins Police Department for 2 years and had previously served with the Dania, Florida, Police Department for 12 years. He was survived by his son, parents, and sister.
