As I sit at my desk, thoughts of my father crossed my mind so I decided to look up Melvin Cohen and I came across this site for which I had no knowledge of before.

I have been moved to tears at all the comments left and I thank each of you - from the bottom of my heart for all your thoughts and memories.

With all the horrible things going on in the world today, especially against our heroic officers, a daily prayer that they all are able to come home safe will continue in my life.

Your 13 year old grandson, Carter and I think about and miss you daily. The American Flag and a replica of your police badge are proudly displayed in our living room.

Your daughter...
