Police Officer Joseph Clark was killed when he shot while attempting to quell a disturbance in a house.

Several men were charged with his murder. At least one of the subjects was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Officer Clark had served with the Baltimore City Police Department for five years.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and forty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
