Patrolman Cisco was shot and killed while making his nightly rounds. He was checking a door to a department store when several burglary suspects inside opened fire, fatally wounding him.

The suspect who killed Patrolman Cisco was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to 99 years in prison on September 17, 1914.
