Officer Young was killed when he was struck by a car in a hit and run accident. He had stopped a van for a traffic violation when he was hit by the car which fled the scene.

Today was the first day of police week -- the day we honor the fallen. You and Troy will always be special in my heart. "92 in the blue!" always and forever. Can you believe it was 25 years ago we all walked into the station to start our journey in the PD. So many of us have gone different ways, but our class will always be one forever and always.
