Deputy Aquino was killed when he was struck by a pickup truck while standing next to his patrol car. He was investigating a shots fired call at the time of the accident. The driver of the pickup truck was found to be under the influence and was convicted and sentenced to six months later to four years in prison and five years probation.
Deputy Aquino had served with the agency for 5 years. He is survived by his three daughters, fiancée, parents, brother, and three sisters.
