For most of us in this life, our world can seem very small and routine. Then one day I come across this story of a man who is a police officer in San Jose who dies in a motorcycle crash. I read about the man and the love he had from so many in his life in his small area of this world and I am humbled. The unbelievable impact he made in his 34 years to so many people. His family and coworkers. His church. To a suicidal person on Christmas in 2011. I witness through year old news segments, online videos, and personal testimony an example of the best people can be. I hurt selfishly inside because I will never meet this officer. But, his legacy lives on in his boys, his family and friends. Officer Katherman, you are remembered this year by me and in the years to come as your father requested. But, know this comes from someone who will not meet you till my time is finished as well and I see you in heaven. God bless you all.
