Deputy Sheriff Earl Haslam succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident six days earlier.
His motorcycle went out of control and crashed as he was returning to police headquarters after serving civil papers. He was transported to a local hospital with a fractured skull and a broken leg.
Deputy Haslam had served with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office for 15 years. He was survived by his wife.
