William Lee Bryant

Ranger William Bryant was accidentally shot and killed while attempting to place his service revolver into its holster.

He and two other rangers were conducting a night time deer hunting detail in Walker County when the accident occurred.

Ranger Bryant had served with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for one year.

Sir, it has taken over 42 years but you are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Georgia. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
