Deputy Key weighs heavy on my heart - I am a LEO wife but also run my counseling practice and mustang rescue at the intersection where he was killed. We purchased the land a few months after it happened and when we heard about his death we knew that was right where we were meant to be. I've wanted to dedicate one of our rescues in his honor, and today of all days I decided to help a young mustang and name him Deputy... when I realized that this was the anniversary of his death I knew it was the right time. I never had a chance to meet Deputy Key but think of him as I regularly pass through his stretch of highway.
