I had tears running down my cheaks with a big old smile on my face while I thought about you today, Kyle.

I was "duty" one day and was and getting the class lined up for dinner. As usual, cadets would try to get the duty to laugh as the TAC Officers inspected us line up outside the cafeteria. I was trying my hardest to maintain professional face as a TAC Officer passed, then you leaned your head out of line and made a silly face as you mouthed "lock it up".

I said I'd never go back to the academy after we graduated but I think all of us would spend another 6 months there just to see you again. If anyone was cut out to be a trooper, it was you. You were proud to wear the uniform but you were more proud of your family and they always came first for you. You sure left one heck of a legacy here and we miss you, bro.
