Officer Garret Collin Davis will never be forgotten. As Lt. Ray Flores, Retired NYPD said in his reflection "This, unfortunately happens too often. People are not paying attention, incapacitated with drugs, booze, etc. and are hurting and killing our brothers and sisters." He's 100 percent correct in his assessment. My cousin whom I had the pleasure to grow up with in Brooklyn, NY, also died in the line of duty in 1986 while attempting to secure and investigate an accident scene in Queens, NY. He was a member of the Highway 3. May Garret's soul rest in Heaven, and May God bless Garret's son.
