On October 17, 2015, I was a volunteer at a rest stop for the Texas Wheels of Justice ride in Conroe, Texas near Houston. Riders and volunteers were given a wrist band with a fallen officer's name and E.O.W. date. I received the one for Cpl. David R. Slaton, your husband, father, son, brother and friend.

I never met him, but wanted to let you know that prayers have gone out for him and his entire family. May the Lord's peace continue to be with you all.
