Earlier, Policeman Nix and Clark fired at a car the youth was driving when he refused their order to pull over. Later that day, gunfire erupted as the boy and his father confronted the officers on a local street corner. The father, his son, and Policeman Clark were killed. Two bystanders were wounded.
