Officer Terry Adams was killed in a motorcycle accident on Tift Avenue. He was driving the motorcycle with his emergency equipment activated when a pickup truck pulled out of a shopping center and Officer Adams collided with the driver's side door of the truck.

He succumbed to his injuries while being transported to a local hospital.

Officer Adams had served with the agency for seven years. He is survived by his wife and four children.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today. Thanks to your daughter and friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections. Alex, I am sure your dad is very proud of all your achievements and you are already a heroine to me because of the way you are living your life.
