Trooper Boehm succumbed to injuries sustained when a horse kicked him the chest while on patrol at the New York State Fair two months earlier. Following the injury Trooper Boehm contracted pneumonia and died.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
