Patrolman Henry Wilton suffered a fatal heart attack following a struggle at the scene of a domestic disturbance. A struggle ensued as he attempted to arrest the drunk and disorderly male subject. He was able to subdue the man but collapsed as he placed him in the patrol car.

Patrolman Wilton had served with the agency for 2 years. He was survived by his wife and three children.

Your heroism and service is honored today on the 56th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
