Sergeant Richard LeBow was killed in an automobile accident on I-40 near Mulberry, at approximately 10:25 am.

His patrol car collided head-on with an oncoming tractor trailer.

Sergeant LeBow had served with the Arkansas State Police for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, two sons, and his mother.

Though I had limited contact with Rick Lebow in the area of reconstruction, he was my Brother. He brought respect and admiration to the ranks that he led and honorable service and dedication to the Arkansas State Police. I can think of no more fitting memorial to Sergeant Lebow than to say to his family and friends; he did his best for you, and that was good. Damn good.
