On a walk this morning I happened upon a gentleman who told me Deputy Sheriff Belcher's story. The man was a great grandson. You could hear the pride in his voice, but there was a sadness in his eyes as he shared the story of D. S. Belcher's service and untimely passing. This officer is remembered, as he should be.
