Officer Bingham was killed in a motorcycle accident at Kingshighway and Terry Avenue. A vehicle attempted to turn left in front of Officer Bingham, causing the collision.
Officer Bingham had been with the agency for one year and was survived by his wife and two children.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 74th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your sacrifice was made so many years ago. Time never diminishes respect.Rest In Peace.
