I served with C.J. in the Marine Corps from 1983 to 1986. He and I entered the Marines about the same time, so we were peers and worked closely together in the same occupation. He was one of the most level-headed and respectable guys with whom I worked. He was very easy-going and quick with a smile. He was a man with integrity.
