I served with Dave in the Marines when we were stationed in Hawaii, 1977-1980. Of course he was Barney to me. We had a lot of fun. He was hardworking, patriotic, someone you could count on, and a fun sense of humor. Being recently retired, I thought about looking up Dave and came across this notice. It saddens me that such a good man came to his end too soon. Condolences to his family and his brothers in blue of the LRPD. Semper Fi!
