Patrolman Ivan Belka was when his patrol car was struck by a drunk driver while returning to the station in Spokane. Another vehicle cut in front of him on Newport Highway and struck his patrol car on the left side.

Patrolman Belka was survived by his wife and child.

ODMP is participating in the CrowdRise Giving Tower Holiday Challenge, an annual fundraising competition that runs from November 24th through January 7th and raises millions of dollars for charity.
