Patrolman Bartlett suffered a fatal heart attack during a foot pursuit of a robbery suspect. He had chased the man approximately two blocks before he collapsed.

Patrolman Bartlett had been with the agency for ten years and was survived by his wife.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
