I stopped by Oak Cemetery while visiting Fort Smith and Judge Parker's court last week. It took a few moments and my wife had to endure me, but I was able to locate the final resting place of Marshal Beck.
I was humbled to stand in front of his tombstone and reflect upon the bravery and daring of such a man. "A resolute officer of Judge Parker's court."
