City Marshal Harvey Johnson suffered a fatal heart attack when he was struck in the chest by a suspect he was attempting to arrest.

During the arrest the suspect began to resist and struggle at which time Marshal Johnson was struck in the chest.

Marshal Johnson had served with the Fouke Police Department for two years. He was survived by his wife and two children.

ODMP is participating in the CrowdRise Giving Tower Holiday Challenge, an annual fundraising competition that runs from November 24th through January 7th and raises millions of dollars for charity.
