Deputy Constable John Pollock was stabbed to death while he and another officer attempted to restore order at a public dance in Mansfield, Texas.

As he and the officer attempted to remove people from a crowded platform a man stabbed him.

Deputy Pollock, a U.S. Army veteran, had served with the agency for 10 years. He was survived by his wife and three children.
