View all 8 ReflectionsCarl was my great-uncle, one of six brothers and two sisters. He died in the line of duty while serving his community long before I was born, but his memory and his sacrifice live on in our family. He was a WWI veteran, having served in the medical corps. Over the generations there remains a close affinity to Carl. With love and respect, we shall never forget.
