Still thinking about you Brother. I remember talking to you at the pumps a couple of hours before it happened. You were in a great mood and looking forward to the weekend. I can still see you smiling as we passed each other at Hibiscus and the bus way. You were heading out to your last call and I was heading home. I remember the phone call, the disbelief, I had just seen you, it couldn't be true. I can still remember your funeral, so quite, so still and the only voice heard was your son saying "I want my Daddy back!". You were one of the finest Officers I have ever known. Tonight, I am on call so I will give a toast to you with ice-tea and say, "May there never come a day when people like you, fail to stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves".
